  • Category: Footwork
  • Level: Beginner
  • Body position: Supine
  • Repetitions: 10 reps
  • Springs: 2 Red – 3 Red
  • Headrest: As needed
  • Footbar: High or Low

Starting position

Supine, toes on footbar wider than hips, at the corners of the footbar, feet turned out, heels lifted, arms by sides, neutral spine.

Instructions

Exhale to press the carriage out by extending the legs, maintaining turnout from the hips and steady heel height. Keep even pressure through the balls of the feet as the legs lengthen without locking the knees or shifting the pelvis. Inhale to return with control, bending the knees while tracking them over the toes and keeping the pelvis stable. Avoid dropping or lifting the heels during the movement.
